To have great quality you must buy great quality. I have spent most of my life buying coffee and you can't taste marketing hype. Coffee is produce. Just like sweet corn and oranges, it doesn't all taste alike. Each batch is different.
Like your Grandpa said, "You get what you pay for." I've been a coffee taster for over 25 years and I've seldom found a great coffee for the price of an ordinary one.
Great coffees don't need the marketing hype. You can taste the difference and so can your customers, clients and friends.
We can do what the big boys can't. We don't have a board so when I buy our coffee I don't have to answer to anyone. I can let my experience and taste be my guide. I can even pay more when needed. We don't roast to cover imperfections in taste. We roast to optimize the taste of each batch.
Great coffee only stays great for a short time. Whole bean a few weeks, ground a few hours and brewed on a burner only a few short minutes. Always buy fresh, grind before you brew and brew into an insulated thermos.
